Civil Rights at the Polls

My chosen article is about the supression of fears within the civil rights movement at the polls. The Justice Department is looking to address such issues by meeting with civil right groups for the next two months, in hopes the November elections run smoothly at the polls. For instence, the Justice Department has already decided to appoint federal prosecutors to polling places as 'monitors', though some civil rights groups believe this will scare voters from going to the polls alltogether. I think this article is worth reading because in some way, we all belong to one civil rights group. It is up to us to determine what is just for all at the place where we make our democratic decision. The polls should and can be a non-bias place, but it's up to us to stop Big Brother from getting his way with our feelings while we are there.
